4) If you’re been trolled by a fat-shammer on social media and you blocked them without breaking a sweat then you’re a carefree fat girl.

5) You make sure you spend time with other plus size girls. You make sure to go to all the plus size kick backs. If you’ve ever been to theCurvyCon than you’re definitely a carefree fat girl.

I’ll attend the exclusive preview of the Nordstrom x Nike sneaker boutique Chicago located at 55 East Grand Ave. The space opened to the public today. I wanted to share a few reasons why you should run downtown and check it out.

One reason to head down to Nordstrom for this exclusive in-store pop is there’ll be 50 pairs of a limited edition Nike Air Max 90 available on Saturday, November 19^th. The sneakers are exclusively designed with laser engraved icons of the toe inspired by The Windy City. Then on Sunday, November 20^th, the boutique with feature the global launch of the Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection Jacquard. Nike’s first footwear collection inspired by female athletes and their boundary-breaking accomplishments, the Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection rethinks four Nike footwear icons and imbues each with the trademark “There is no finish line” declaration.

This space will offer a great way for women to find sporty and chic Nike looks at the same time. The blend of the two style are so on trend. Fashion forward fux furs being displayed right next to the latest tennis show. I’m here for it!

I attended The Makeup Show Chicago and it was amazing. As a Chicago blogger I love attending events like this and sharing it with my readers. My Snapchat boos saw all the fun in real time. I mean wall to wall lipstick, eyelashes and highlighters. Beside feeling like a kid in a candy store I did learn a lot. I want to share 5 takeaways from The Makeup Show Chicago.

My first takeaway from The Makeup Show 2016 is Chicago people go hard for makeup. Guys and girls lined up early to see all The Makeup Show had to offer. James Vincent said this year was the most attended Makeup Show ever.

My second takeaway from The Makeup Show is the standard for beauty industry started in Chicago with Mario Tricoci. During his keynote he spoke about his love for hair. With all that his has accomplished he said he’s a hairdresser first. He also spoke about the discipline that has guided his over 60 year career.

My third takeaway from The Makeup Show is everyone’s makeup up journey is different. The Lip Bar started in 2011 when a Detroit native, Melissa Butler, decided to forever change the way you looked at lip color and with great products and hard work The Lip Bar can be found online at target.

My fourth takeaway from The Makeup Show is beauty brands are wall to wall. Bring cash and credit to be safe side. No one wants to leave their favorite lippie behind because they didn’t have the right currency. A separate blog post and Youtube video of my The Makeup Show haul is coming soon!

My fifth takeaway from The Makeup Show is when you come come ready to slay! All styles are welcome. Be the must beautiful you. I saw some many stylish people with beat faces. I feel all styles were represented from team natural to pin up. It was great to be in a place were all forms of artistic expressions though make up and hair were displayed with confidence.

The Makeup show Chicago 2017 is already set. This is the must-attend event for all makeup professionals in the Midwest! I’ll be right back at it November 17-18, 2017. Hope to see you there! Daya by Zendaya brand isn’t new. First launching in 2013 as a shoe brand it has now expanded it’s reach to include clothing. Zendaya said it’s something she has been working on for a long time. “I’m so excited that we’re finally going to get out there. The process has been such a creative journey for me. … With these pop-up shops, I’m thrilled that I will not only showcase the clothes, but also get the chance to meet my fans in person and see their individual reactions to the clothes. It will be fun to see people touch the clothes and feel and wear the different pieces. So glad it’s all going out to the world.”

Zendaya crossed the country to hit all three of her pop up shops in one day. The pop up shops were held over two days in NYC, Los Angeles and Block 37 in Chicago.

The pop up shop gave me a chance to see the clothes first hand and check out the plus sizing. The Daya line is plus friendly going up to XXL 20-22. I tried on a few pieces and the people who are size 24 maybe 26 can fit some of the pieces in this unisex line.

I went to the UniverSoul Circus and I think I had more fun than the kids. I’m so glad I went. This was my first time going to the circus and I had a blast. UniverSoul Circus is in Chicago Sept. 28-Oct. 30, 2016 and is sponsored by the Black McDonald’s Operating Association of Chicago. UniverSoul Circus is taking place in Washington Park (E. 51st Street and S. Cottage Grove, Chicago, IL 60615) and I’m here for it!

UniverSoul Circus was very interactive. I felt like I was part of the show. The big top was rocking with the music from all genres. The cast of international performers that had me on the edge of my seat. There was so much happening that the only was to understand my excitement is to see the show yourself. UniverSoul Circus’s approach to family friendly live entertainment was refreshing.

I can’t tell you which was my favorite act between comedy Dog Act from Chile, Aerial Duet from Colombia, Pagoda Bowl Acrobats from China, Airborne Motorcycles from California, Caribbean Dynasty from Trinidad and Tobago, Russian Bar from Cuba, Contortionists from Ethiopia or Magical Tigers I had so must fun. UniverSoul Circus is fun for adults. If you can go you should!

I was lucky enough to score a pair of tickets to the the Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavs game. *insert emoji smile* The blogger in me thought black ball grown! Sounds about right!! Just kidding , lol. I was however a little stuck on what to wear. Should I be a super fan wearing Bulls gear from head to toe. Or be extra with a floor length mink with Jimmy Choo shoes like a diva. Chicago Bulls games have become a real fashion event. And now that the Bulls have added Dwyane Wade to the team I could find myself seating shoulder to shoulder with his wife and Birth of Nation star Gabrielle Union. If I’m having this issue how many other fashionable sports fan were? I came up with a few looks that’ll cover all style mavens for any sporting event.

First Date At Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago

A few weeks ago I said how I was Preparing For Cuffin’ Season. I said how I was going to be more open to dating. Today we have entered pre-season in the cuffin’ season and I haven’t made much progress in being cuffed. Honestly! Truly! I haven’t taking any of my own advice. But I’m putting my heel down. In order to achieve anything you must have a vision. So I thought about what I would want to do on my first date. Dinner is a given but I would like to do something that would allow us to talk. The first thing that came to mind is a visit to Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

I was lucky enough to see Kerry James Marshall exhibition while it was at MCAC. I found the collection to be bold and beautiful. A celebration of blackness. Mr. Marshall’s work will be in Chicago until 09/25 before it’s moved to NYC where it’ll be housed at the Met.

Ideally for me spending time with a person that will help me grow as a person is best. Art does that. It’s a reflection of life past, present and future. I was moved in seeing how a person could dream up something in their head and make it come to life for the world to see. Thinking outside the box when trying to get to know a person can be so beneficial. I’m thinking The Adler Planetarium next.

I left the museum feeling like this dating thing could be nice, lol. So I’m going to start working on it! I’ll let you know what happens next.

To celebrate the release of new A&W Root Beer and Crush Orange Pop-Tarts, NEYO and DNCE came together on the Soda-Mazing stage for one awesome concert at the House of Blues Chicago.

Pop-Tarts, a Kelloggs brand, released the Crush Orange and A&W Root Beer favors this Summer. You can see taste makers like KeKe Palmer trying the new Pop-Tarts on CrazyGoodSummer.com.

The Pop Tarts brand gave an exclusive concert in Chicago at the House of Blues to celebrate the new soda flavored Pop Tarts. Dnce came out rocking the crowd with their most popular songs. They even showed some #TBT love and gave their take on some of the must popular songs from the past like TLC’s “No Scrubs” and Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.” They of course closed their show with fan favorite “Cake By the Ocean.”

Ne-Yo ended the Pop Tarts’ exclusive concert in Chicago at the House of Blues. The crowd rang out Ne-Yo’s name saying “We want Ne-Yo” as the stage was changed for his performance. I’m here to say Ne-Yo didn’t disappoint. He gave us songs from his long catalog. I was so happy to see him sing the song that made me fall in love with him as an artist, “So Sick.” He also gave his take on songs he’s written like Mario’s “Let Me Love Me”. What peeked my interest most was Him saying he was about to release new music. And of course he gave us a little M.J.
