Taste of Chicago runs from Wednesday, July 11 and ends on Sunday, July 15.  Yes,  you only have 5 short days to taste from the 70 food vendors.  The hours vary.  Wednesday-Friday: 11am-9pm, Saturday & Sunday: 10am-9pm.

Bring cash! Â Yes, you can use a debit or credit card to purchase Taste of Chicago food tickets. Â However, many of the booths that sells the food tickets are cash only.

Taste of Chicago has food trucks the year! Â Yes, you read that correct. Â You can find the food booths on wheels can be found parked at Jackson & Columbus in Grant Park.

5 EASY PLUS SIZE WORKOUT TIPS

I’m no exercise nut.  However, I did recognize I needed to get more active. Becoming more active helps with more than just weight loss. Be active can help with weight management. It also helps with overall health. So for couch surfers like me here are 5 easy and plus size friendly workout tips.
TIP 1 – Call Your Doctor Â
Although moderate physical activity such as brisk walking is safe for most people, health experts suggest that you talk to your doctor before you start an exercise program if you have any unlaying health conditions. It’s important to see your personal physicians annually even if you don’t have any medical conditions.
TIP 2 – Be Prepared
Being prepared help with the excuses. Before you even walk out the make sure you have a small bag filled with a few things you’ll need. In my bag, I have things like a water bottle, a clean washcloth, headphones, a backup phone battery and a small snack like a banana or nuts. I also have my insurance card and emergency contact information. All of these things help me avoid the “I need to head back home” excuses.
TIPÂ 3 – Dress ComfortablyÂ
I know life is a runway but if you’re trying to get into the swing of things when it comes to working out keep it cute yet comfortable. Plus size workout gear has come a long way. You can find sports bras, leggings, shorts, headbands, there are even hijabs available now.
TIP 4 –Â Know Your Limit
If you’re not in a race than it’s not a race. Know your personal limits. I’ve workout with friends and they’re pushed me to do what they’re doing. Don’t hurt yourself trying to keep up with someone else. Go at your own pace.
TIP 5 –Â Be Creative With Your Fitness Routines
Boredom will kill the fitness well. Joining a gym is not a must. Something it can be a waste of money if you’re not going to go consistently. On the other hand, going toa gym that offers different fitness course it a great way to stay engaged with your fitness.

BONUS TIP!  Find your personal motivation. I set small fitness goals for myself. Achieving them makes me feel great. What is your fitness motivation?

I joined Nike Air Society at Nike Chicago located in the heart of downtown Chicago.  Nike Air Society had a plus size fashion talk and the first ever plus size fashion show featuring Nike’s latest plus size fashion looks.
The night was so much fun. Â We all enjoyed light bites and drinks. Â While waiting for the fashion show we learned about Nike Air innovation. Â We also got bra fitting done by Nike experts. Â It was nice to check out the new Nike Pro Bra collection. Â As you can see in the pictures below there was a Nike Air Society photo booth. Â There were even custom Air Society postcards.
Nike Air Society has some bomb “gifts with purchase.” Â Some people got Air Society tote and towel. Â You could have access to nail art and the Blowout Junkie braid bar. Â Some girls got workout appointments at Orange Theory Fitness. Â IÂ dance the night away as DJ Megan worked the ones and two.
I’m happy that Nike has become even more inclusive. Â It’s great when you can see girls that look like me in workout gear and looking fabulously while doing it.

Nordstrom x Nike Sneaker Boutique Chicago
I’ll attend the exclusive preview of the Nordstrom x Nike sneaker boutique Chicago located at 55 East Grand Ave.  The space opened to the public today.  I wanted to share a few reasons why you should run downtown and check it out.
One reason to head down to Nordstrom for this exclusive in-store pop is there’ll be 50 pairs of a limited edition Nike Air Max 90 available on Saturday, November 19th.  The sneakers are exclusively designed with laser engraved icons of the toe inspired by The Windy City.  Then on Sunday, November 20th, the boutique with feature the global launch of the Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection Jacquard.  Nike’s first footwear collection inspired by female athletes and their boundary-breaking accomplishments, the Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection rethinks four Nike footwear icons and imbues each with the trademark “There is no finish line” declaration.
This space will offer a great way for women to find sporty and chic Nike looks at the same time. Â The blend of the two style are so on trend. Â Fashion forward fux furs being displayed right next to the latest tennis show. Â I’m here for it!
