Universal Standard

Universal Standard started in an NYC apartment in 2015 after founder Alex express issue with finding high-quality clothing.  Universal Standard said “It felt unfair, but moreover, it made no sense. If 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or above, why were their options so dismal? It was clear that all women weren’t given the same level of style, quality, or even respect.”  The brand currently carries sizes up to 32 as well as a petite line!  Universal Standard known for their dresses also carries everything from active wear to jewelry.

Universal Standard Fit

I normally wear a size 18/20.  Looking at the sizing chart on the Universal Standard I needed to order a size M.  Having never tried on a Universal Standard piece I wanted to size up so bad.  I’m glad I didn’t.  The fit was perfect.  My dress wasn’t too tight or too loose.  Being 5 feet I was happy to see Universal Standard had petite options.  The petite line doesn’t come in every item they carry, however, a great deal does.

Universal Standard Material Quality

The Geneva dress is excellently made.  The dress is made of stretch-cotton with a focus on drapey curve-flattering silhouette, below-the-knee length.  The material is 93% Peruvian cotton, 7% elastane and is machine washable.  The Geneva dress’ jewel neck and asymmetrical hem are everything I need.  O.K. They could ass pockets because I love a dress with pocket, lol.

I received the Geneva dress compliments of the UNIVERSAL STANDARD, however; All opinions are my own.
