Gabi Fresh has released her latest collections with Swimsuits For All. This Spring collection is called “Power Play.” With the backdrop of the iconic Santa Monica Pier and beach, the campaign stars Gabi alongside a cast of nine enthusiastic fans. This spring release has a total of 11 pieces. Five 2 piece bikinis, 4 one-pieces, 1 coverups style dress and 1 shirt with bold designs and is full of beautiful bright colors.  Please note that photos are all from the Swimsuits For All website.
Gabi has clearly hit it out the park again and this collection will sell out. My personal thoughts are I love love love love this collection. It speaks to my whimsical glam style and I’ve already purchased a few pieces. I can wait to rock this looks!

GabiFresh X SwimSuitsForAll 2018 collection released

Today Gabi release her latest collections with Swimsuits for all. The theme of this collection I would call “Queen of the jungle” was inspired by Destiny’s Child’s Survivor and I’m here for it. There are 4 bikinis, 4 one-pieces, and 2 coverups style dress with bold designs, beautiful colors, and lots of metallics. This 2018 GabiXSwimSuitsForAll collection is giving me everything I need with this new styles. Below I have added the visuals for the collection release. Please note that photos are all from the Gabifresh website.
Gabi has clearly hit it out the park again and this collection will sell out. My personal thoughts on purchasing based on having shopped past collections. Size up in the tops. I noticed in the past two collections the tops ran small. With that being said I love that the 2 pieces swimwear options are sold together but you can order different sizes for the top and bottom. The bottoms I find run true to size. I would say for the one piece swimwear to size up also. Many have built-in bra features similar to the two-piece tops in which the cups run small. Lastly, if you’re swimwear shy the coverups are a great option. They offer a great bang for your buck. Based on the style purchased I’ve worn them alone as a “dress” or as kimono style top with shorts or jeans. The coverups tend to run true to size. Gabi has mentioned before, if you’re between suit sizes, she recommends getting the larger size.

When I first so this tweet it tickled me pink. I taught at this Gabi isn’t dropping the collection out the blue like Beyonce. With that said I’ve ordered a few pieces. And I already have photo shoot ideas.

Gabi’s latest collections with Swimsuitsforall comes off the heels of two other very successful fashion ventures in 2017. Gabi first jumped feet first into the plus-size lingerie arena. In collaboration with Playful Promises we saw Gabi designed a plus-size lingerie collection (Get more information on the GabiXPlayfulPromises lingerie line here). The moment the line drop it easily took over social media. Next Gabi and her longtime friend Nicolette Mason release Premme. With Premme they joined forces to create a fashion company that shows clothing should be about expressing your personality and having fun, not feeling limited by society’s current fashion rules.

Why Are You Single? And A Few Other Dumb Questions I’m Always Asked!

Why I’m I single? Â If I hear that damn question again I just might scream. Â As I roll my eyes to the back of my head I can vaguely hear in a clown voice “You’re such a pretty girl you such be in a relationship.” Â That normally followed up by so more bullish I don’t want to hear like I have a friend. Â Because I was raised well I just smile and give a slight giggle. Â However, Â I really want to say “Why have you been with (insert man’s name) for years knowing he’s cheating on you?” Â or “You’re so pretty you’d think your man would be faithful.” Â Is that to shady?
The whole conversation makes me so sick. Â Even more than the when are you having children question. Â This question is offensive on so many levels. Â With so many women struggling to have children to ask a question like that can be heartbreaking. Â Even to assume every woman wants children is very old school thinking.

When I’m asked what I do often times my reply depends on who’s asking? Â The question what’s a blogger is not a dumb question however the questions that follow my answer to that question are often are. Â In what world is it on to ask ok to ask a person how much they get paid or do you get a lot of free stuff. Â You won’t ask an accountant how much they’re paid. Â How about a teacher? Â As for “free stuff” that’s not the case for many bloggers. Â They are some “bloggers” who only talk about things they’re paid to talk about. Â However, many of us are providing our true opinions when the items are free or not.
Another blog question or maybe I should say statement is “Why do you call yourself fat? Â You shouldn’t say yourself fat.” Â I get that a lot when I tell people that my blog’s name is The Fat Girl of Fashion. Â I don’t look at the word fat as an offensively. Â For me, it’s just another adjective. Â Just like petite, or beautiful. Â I’m happy being fat and I don’t allow other’s issue make me feel any other way.
This is another statement but I felt the need to add it this fun post. Â You don’t have children so you don’t have responsibilities. Â This statement tickles me ever time. Â As if bills only arrive at your doorstep when you start a family. Â Stop telling people without children they don’t have responsibilities or limitation. Â I have so many bills I won’t date a man named William.
This question came up at theCurvycon. Â When someone says to a plus size person you have so much confidence. Â When someone says that to me I would like to myself like what?! Â As if my dress size should make me less confident. Â If I was a size 6 my confidence wouldn’t even be in question. Â I found it funny (not) that so many attendees have experienced the same issue.
Why do women who not wear makeup and or weave feel the need to tell me with a beat face and a long Nicki weave they don’t wear makeup and or weave. Â Sis, I can see that. Â Hell Ray Charles can see that. Â Because I choose to wear makeup or a cranial prosthesis doesn’t make me any less a natural woman. Â I love a good highlight so deal with it!

A New Day | Target |Plus Size

I know the new question will be what is “A New Day?” Â It’s a new clothing line for the millennial woman who is passionate about her style, this is a brand that delivers current fashion and reinvented classics, interpreted for real-life. Â The brand is focused on quality and fit, making it versatile for any occasion.
A New Day is available only at Target. Â The entire A New Day collection launched in Target stores and on Target.com on August 27 and will continue to deliver new items monthly. Â A few items will be available in-store earlier. Â When the collection becomes available, you can check Target.com to see if a specific item is available in a store near you.
A New Day is joining the Target brand.  It will be available long-term at Target and is not a limited-time-only collection.  A New Day will be in the women’s apparel, shoe, and accessories sections of Target stores.
A New Day is a Target internal product design. Â The team developed the collection using trend and guest research to design items that are relevant and exciting.
A New Day will be available in sizes 0–16, XS–XXL and select assortment in plus sizes, ranging from X–4X and 14W–26W in select stores and online.  A portion of the collection is available in plus sizing. Plus sizing will be available in select stores and on Target.com.  The shoe sizing may vary by style but is more inclusive than ever. The standard size range is 6–11, but certain styles will also be offered in sizes 5–12 along with wide width and wide calf for boots.
Target is introducing more than a dozen brands in the next 18 months.  This fall Target is launching several brands in apparel and home. Be on the lookout for of course A New Day in women’s apparel and accessories, Goodfellow & Co in men’s apparel and accessories, JoyLab in women’s fashion performance and Project 62 in home.
Prices for the A New Day collection range from $9.99 to $44.99 for apparel, accessories, and shoes.

30 Day Checklist For theCurvycon

TheCurvycon is a month away.  Where has the time gone?  I’m very excited.  This is my second year attending.  I had a wonderful time at theCurvycon 2016.  I also travel to NYC often.  I know that this year’s theCurvycon is going to very special because it’s happening during one of the busiest time in New Year which is Fashion Week.  New York will be crazy in a good way.  With 30 days until theCurvycon here’s a quick checklist to make sure your trip goes off without a hitch.

Purchase your theCurvyccon ticket – As of today, Platinum and teal tickets are sold out!  You can still get general admission tickets.  Those tickets are available here.  Plans do change so you may see tickets online for resale.  BE CAREFUL!!!!  Those tickets are not guaranteed because they are not coming from theCurvycon’s Eventbrite page.  Only purchase resale tickets from people you know and trust.  You don’t want to arrive and your ticket not be honored.
Did you know? Last year theCurvycon team starting selling this year’s theCurvycon tickets the week following the event.  So save a few coins for that because they offered a discount on those tickets.  I hope they do that again because that’s when I purchased my platinum ticket.
Book Your Room – Rooms are going fast.  They are also getting pricey.  If you’re renting a hotel room or an AirBNB you really need to book today.  New York rooms are smaller than rooms in other parts of the US but sharing is a great way to save.
Did you know? theCurvycon has a Facebook group for ticket holders.  People are looking for roommates.  So purchase your ticket here and join the group.
Flight/Train/Bus Tickets – By now you should know how you’re going to get there.  If you haven’t as of yet book your travel plans.  I suggest coming in Thursday because theCurvycon events start at 9:30 am on Friday.
Did you know? Save room in your suitcase for your swag and purchases.  Some of my favorite brands like Gwynnie Bee, ASOS, Eloquii, ModCloth, and Macy’s will be at theCurvycon mall.

Plan Your Outfits – This is a fashion event so bring it!  You don’t have to wear Gucci.  I find the best looks are when a person is creative.  Time does fly so you want to make sure you have time for your orders to come in.  You have time to try your clothes on and reorder if needed.
Did you know? It’s possible that an agency or two will be scouting at theCURVYcon. Â You could be the new face of your favorite brand.
Clean out our phone – This may seem very random but it’s not.  There’s nothing worst than having the prefect selfie all lined up with your favorite blogger and your phone says you’re out of memory.  Take the next couple of weeks and delete the old food pictures so that you’ll be able to capture all the fun without any issue.
Did you know? If you can’t decide which pics to let go of simply save them to your computer and then remove them from your phone.
Make reservations – Start thinking about all the restaurants and tours you’ve been wishing to go to.  Now is the time to books that tour or place a call to that restaurant.  NYFW is super business and your don’t want to miss out because they’re booked up.
Did you know? You can book many tours and restaurants online? Yep!  Let your fingers do the walking, lol.
