Target feels this is a chic option for work or the weekend. With it being the perfect combination of classic and fashion-forward styles. This look that’s fashionable, yet free-spirited and timeless. It’s very easy to wear. Love love love this dress. This dress can be worn dressed up chic or dressed on and fun.

This black and white Mod Shift Tulip Appliqué Dress is from the pop floral collection from the Victoria Beckham for Target collaboration. Pop floral includes 16 individual pieces in plus. The pieces range are comprised of 7 tops, 5 dresses, 2 rompers and 2 pant.

Target feels this is a chic option for work or the weekend. With it being the perfect combination of classic and fashion-forward styles. I get all the Twiggy vibes. Very 60’s vibe. The material feels great on. The construction is spot on and doesn’t expose the mid section which can be an issue for many curvy girls.

Things you should know:

Sizing: Plus up size 3X. I’m wearing a size 2X. I could fit a 1X however it was a little snug.
Material: 63% Polyester, 33% Rayon and 4% Spandex
Neckline: Round,
Sleeve Style: Sleeveless,
Closure Style: Back full length zipper, Behind the neck hook, Pullover
Pocket Style: No pocket (This makes me sad because I love pockets)

This dress is very 60’s chic. The black and white dress is constructed sturdy and has very little stretch. The flower applique is faux-leather. It’s a classic shift dress style with figure-flattering darts. I wore basic accessories to keep the focus on the dress.

Pastel colors are usually described as “soothing”, “soft”, “near neutral”, “milky”, “washed out”, “desaturated”, and lacking strong chromatic content. Pink, mauve, and baby blue are typical pastel colors. Often times plus size women feel that they can’t wear pastels and choose to stick to black. Here are 5 quick tips to wearing pastel for the plus size girl ready to step out their box.

I worn this pastel dress with silver. Silver or gray goes great with the muted colors.

Pastel works well with bright colors. This would great time to add playful accessories.

Use pastel as your pop of color by pairing pastel with neutral colors. Try wearing pastel jeans with a nude top and shoe.

Wearing two or three pastel colors together is a great look.

You can also wear one pastel color in different shades. That’s a great way to rock the Spring style.

#FatGirlMagic is a real thing! I see women of size slaying daily. I wanted to offer my take on this magical wave. My core style has always been whimsical so this look is how I feel in my head all the time. Some women may say “I don’t have the confidence.” I say put of your crown and work your magic.

I say this in all my post. I’m cheerleader for women wearing what they want. It doesn’t have to be a two piece swimsuit it could be that bodycon you have in the closet that you’ve never worn. Blossom is 90’s sitcom that made a huge influence on me. Blossom was very imaginative and had an opinion about almost everything. Just like me. Blossom wasn’t your average girl, either, and that’s what made her special. She was quirky, had cool fashion sense and was very relatable.

My parent separated around the same time the show came out. The show made divorce normal. I saw a girl like me dealing with the same issue I was going though. A lot of her feeling were my feelings.

RULE 2) Plus size women should never ever wear sleeveless tops or dress.

BROKEN: My arms are big and beautiful. They will not be covered!

RULE 3) Plus size women should wear solid colors because it looks better on them.

BROKEN: Mixing prints are a great will to shake up for wardrobe. Mixing prints with the same color is a great way to get started.

Risky Business is an 80’s coming of age romantic comedy about a Chicago teenager is looking for fun at home while his parents are away, but the situation quickly gets out of hand. When I tried in this shirt dress I had a major urge to slide across my living room floor.

As a plus size body positive blogger, I’m a cheerleader for women wearing what they want. I do myself at times question how does an outfit look on me. How will this outfit on me appear to others? The shirt dress was one of those times. Will people think I’m nude? Will people think where are her pants? I had to take a step back and become my own cheerleader.

Being your own cheerleader will give you confidence. The confidence to step out with your head held high knowing that you’re beautiful just the way you are. What risky fashion have you been scared to wear?
