TheCurvycon is a month away.  Where has the time gone?  I’m very excited.  This is my second year attending.  I had a wonderful time at theCurvycon 2016.  I also travel to NYC often.  I know that this year’s theCurvycon is going to very special because it’s happening during one of the busiest time in New Year which is Fashion Week.  New York will be crazy in a good way.  With 30 days until theCurvycon here’s a quick checklist to make sure your trip goes off without a hitch.

Purchase your theCurvyccon ticket – As of today, Platinum and teal tickets are sold out!  You can still get general admission tickets.  Those tickets are available here.  Plans do change so you may see tickets online for resale.  BE CAREFUL!!!!  Those tickets are not guaranteed because they are not coming from theCurvycon’s Eventbrite page.  Only purchase resale tickets from people you know and trust.  You don’t want to arrive and your ticket not be honored.
Did you know? Last year theCurvycon team starting selling this year’s theCurvycon tickets the week following the event.  So save a few coins for that because they offered a discount on those tickets.  I hope they do that again because that’s when I purchased my platinum ticket.
Book Your Room – Rooms are going fast.  They are also getting pricey.  If you’re renting a hotel room or an AirBNB you really need to book today.  New York rooms are smaller than rooms in other parts of the US but sharing is a great way to save.
Did you know? theCurvycon has a Facebook group for ticket holders.  People are looking for roommates.  So purchase your ticket here and join the group.
Flight/Train/Bus Tickets – By now you should know how you’re going to get there.  If you haven’t as of yet book your travel plans.  I suggest coming in Thursday because theCurvycon events start at 9:30 am on Friday.
Did you know? Save room in your suitcase for your swag and purchases.  Some of my favorite brands like Gwynnie Bee, ASOS, Eloquii, ModCloth, and Macy’s will be at theCurvycon mall.

Plan Your Outfits – This is a fashion event so bring it!  You don’t have to wear Gucci.  I find the best looks are when a person is creative.  Time does fly so you want to make sure you have time for your orders to come in.  You have time to try your clothes on and reorder if needed.
Did you know? It’s possible that an agency or two will be scouting at theCURVYcon. Â You could be the new face of your favorite brand.
Clean out our phone – This may seem very random but it’s not.  There’s nothing worst than having the prefect selfie all lined up with your favorite blogger and your phone says you’re out of memory.  Take the next couple of weeks and delete the old food pictures so that you’ll be able to capture all the fun without any issue.
Did you know? If you can’t decide which pics to let go of simply save them to your computer and then remove them from your phone.
Make reservations – Start thinking about all the restaurants and tours you’ve been wishing to go to.  Now is the time to books that tour or place a call to that restaurant.  NYFW is super business and your don’t want to miss out because they’re booked up.
Did you know? You can book many tours and restaurants online? Yep!  Let your fingers do the walking, lol.

My fast friend Ashley and I have been in support of each other since we met a year ago in Atlanta for the TCFexpo. Â Time and space comes together and creates great things. Â At that time it was our friendship. Â Time and space came together again and created #SCxFGOFtakeNYC. Â Ashley and I visited NYC together and had the time of our lives.
The ASOS showing was the first event we attended together while taking over NYC. Â We were overjoyed when ASOS invited us to join them in diving into their newest launch and collaborations. Â I’m a huge fan of ASOS so for me Christmas came early.
If you’re not familiar with ASOS it’s a British online fashion and beauty store. Primarily aimed at young adults, ASOS sells over 850 brands as well as its own range of clothing and accessories.  I personally love their CURVE & PLUS SIZE section.  It’s trendy and ready speaks to my whimsical style in an affordable way.
As we imaged how we would style all the latest fashion ASOS had to offer made sure to mixed and mingled with other bloggers. Â Thank you ASOS for making my shopping list longer than me, lol.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with everything iridescent.  So when I saw the new Justine Skye by M.A.C. iridescent pressed powder I know I had to try it.  Pressed powers can be used in many ways.  I’m choosing to use this press power as a highlight.  The color is called Justine Skye offers a hint of soft purple along with shimmering pink pearl sheen.  This fun shade is long-wearing with buildable coverage and shimmery finish.  It comes in special packaging that features a purple glitter design with holographic silver accents and Justine Skye’s logo.
I love it. Â It ready pops without having to use a ton of the product. Â I used a slight hand and it showing up well on my brown skin. Â I can see myself putting this press power on wet to get an extra glow. Â This is a limited edition item from M.A.C. so I’m going to run out and get another one so I can have a backup. As for the Starbucks’ unicorn drink. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm don’t waste your money. Â It taste like food coloring and whip cream. Â This is the first special Starbucks drink I purchase and didn’t like. Â Unicorn are everything good and sweet and this drink simply wasn’t. Â Sorry to report such bad news. Â However I hope this save you money and taste buds, lol.

I worn this pastel dress with silver. Â Silver or gray goes great with the muted colors.
Pastel works well with bright colors. Â This would great time to add playful accessories.
Use pastel as your pop of color by pairing pastel with neutral colors. Â Try wearing pastel jeans with a nude top and shoe.
Wearing two or three pastel colors together is a great look.
You can also wear one pastel color in different shades. Â That’s a great way to rock the Spring style.

#FatGirlMagic is a real thing! Â I see women of size slaying daily. Â I wanted to offer my take on this magical wave. Â My core style has always been whimsical so this look is how I feel in my head all the time. Â Some women may say “I don’t have the confidence.” Â I say put of your crown and work your magic.
I say this in all my post.  I’m cheerleader for women wearing what they want.  It doesn’t have to be a two piece swimsuit it could be that bodycon you have in the closet that you’ve never worn.  Or those jeans you love but feel people might stare.  At the end of the day you must do what’s best for you.  Make yourself happy.  It’s just clothes you’ll have on something completely different tomorrow.

As regular degular shmegular girl who has a real love for all things beauty I’m here to give you the scoop on Too Cool For School’s Egg Cream Hydration Mask.  I’ve seen many of Too Cool For School products around my local Sephora store and decided to pick up all three of the brand’s microfiber sheet masks.  Their three masks target skin hydration, skin firming or pore tightening.
Too Cool For School is a Korean brand dedicated to quality and creativity. Â They say their goal is to bring together the latest skin care and makeup trends with a diverse community of experimental artists. Â They bring innovative products, playful packaging, and unique beauty experience.
Too Cool For School’s Egg Cream Hydration Mask is cruelty-free, silicone-free, parabens-free, sulfate-free, phthalates-free and hypoallergenic. Â The mask has a high moisture retention rate and is made of delicate ultra-fine microfiber. The microfiber sheet mask offers a hydrating and nourishing egg extract, coconut water, niacinamide, and other botanical extracts for radiant and plump skin. Â The coconut water provides hydration and quickly penetrates into the skin. Niacinamide and camu camu extract are rich in vitamin C to brighten the overall appearance of skin.
I’m really happy with the results from using the Too Cool For School’s Egg Cream Hydration Mask.  After wearing the mask for 20 minutes my skin was left glowing and hydrated.  My normally dry skin was left very radiant.
Remove mask from packaging.
Pull mesh off slowly and discard.
Gently apply microfiber mask to fit the contours of your face.
Press gently with fingertips to spread evenly and leave on for 10 to 20 minutes.
Peel off the mask.
Massage remaining serum into the face.
Radiant and plump skin.
