Curves Tour First Stop Purple Rain

Last night was epic.  The first stop on the Curves Tour was Chicago’s Millennium Park were the 1984 film Purple Rain starring the late great Prince was shown.  Purple Rain is Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) 11th movie screened this Summer as part of the movies in the park series.  It was great to see so many people of different ages and races coming together in celebration.  There was a sea of purple.  People singing and dancing to their favorite Prince songs.  Wearing my Too Matte With Love lippie on top of a mahogany liner I sang loudly.   Chicago really showed  love to Prince and I’m so glad I was in attendance.  The next movie to be shown is the Dark Knight.  It was voted by Chicagoans as the movie filmed in Chicago to see.  You can see the full movie line up here.

Summers go by fast in Chicago.  The chilly day  in the park was a perfect reason to wear my new jacket.  I picked up this super cute Janine & Co. camo jacket while I was in Atlanta for  ASHLEY Stewart X TCFStyleExpo.  I strolled in to the park as a Curves Tour band looking so fly Prince himself would have had to look over his glasses like…

My thoughts: I purchased this Janine & Co. camo Curves Tour direct from the owner at a booth at ASHLEY Stewart X TCFStyleExpo.   Janine & Co is woman created black owned business.  Which I’m glad to support.  The owner told me she can easily customize any of her products.  Janine & Co offers printing on t-shirts and hand painted leather jackets.  In purchasing direct I can’t speak on shipping, sorry.  I am not an affiliate.

Yes! You were right the jumpsuit looks familiar.  I wore a similar jumpsuit to ASxTCFStyleExpo click here to see my other looks from that event.
