Target Renewal Beauty Box Review

target beauty box review

This is a review of Target‘s latest beauty box called Renewal.
This Target beauty box is being reviewed by fashion & beauty blogger Alexis and edited for use on thefatgirloffashion.com.

The box didn’t come with anything too exciting. The box items I reviewed* are BB Cushion Foundation from Laneige, Caress body wash,  Attitude 2in1 shampoo and body wash, Hada Labo Tokyo anti-aging face mask, and a Scunci active headband.

My favorite item from the beauty box was the Laneige BB Cushion.
Laneige BB Cushion “Get 5-in-1 cushion technology that works to brighten, protect, cool and cover your skin while fending off shine.”
The foundation is very lightweight on your skin and it has light – medium coverage. It’s very easy to apply when in a rush. The foundation has a luminous finish and it overall brightens your skin.

Hada Labo Tokyo Anti-Aging Facial Mask – “A lightweight, deeply hydrating mask that drenches skin with serum to boost hydration, smooth fine lines and restore firmness and bounce to your skin.”
The anti-aging mask works well. It’s easy to put on and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed. You won’t see improvement in your skin at first, but after a few weeks it does say you’ll be able to tell a difference.

Caress Love Forever Body Wash – “It’s the first body wash ever to use fragrance-release pearls with touch-activated technology. Release a burst of perfume every time you touch your skin—all day long.”
The Caress body wash in the scent ‘Love Forever’ has a sweet smell  and it lasts for about 12 hours. This body wash acts as a perfume and will keep the smell activated for a long time. The bottle claims that it is touch-activated technology so the scent comes out as you touch your skin and I do find it to be true.

Scunci No-Slip Grip Braided Headwrap “A comfortable, stretchy band with a braided design for stylish, no-slip grip.”
The headband is just a regular, everyday headband. It does have rubber ‘no slip grip’ as a part of its design which makes it more comfortable to wear and it does stay in place. It is in a braided design and is a bright, hot pink color.

ATTITUDE 2-in-1 Shampoo – “This shampoo and body wash is vegetable based and biodegradable. Plus, it’s formulated to be carcinogen free and hypoallergenic. Vegan, not tested on animals.”
The Shampoo and Body wash 2in1 is a product that doesn’t test on animals. While it is a great option to have, the smell is lacking in appeal. It leaves your hair feeling clean but you have no after effect of a lingering nice scent in your hair.

Overall, the Target Beauty Box is appealing to those who want to know what are the latest products Target carries.

This box came with a total of 9 items for a cost of $7 with shipping.  Getting all the items at the $7 cost is a great value.  Target‘s beauty box puts together 8 to 10 beauty must-haves-all in one convenient box.  Offering around a $50 value for under $10.  This handpicked collection let’s you try out a few top trends and perfect for a person who doesn’t want to get the full size and not like it.  Target ships the box for free.  Target says allow up to two weeks for delivery.  Each box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more. The boxes are launched every few months and sells out quickly.  Be sure to follow thefatgirloffashion.com on social media.  When the next beauty box is made available it will be published on the blog’s Twitter, Facebook, and snapchat account.  Be sure to follow so you don’t miss  out.  The last box sold out in less than a day.

  1. Have you tried the Essence beauty box? It’s a bit more pricey than the Target box, but I get usage out of every single product, all WOC friendly.
