While I was enjoying a regular Saturday Beyoncé’s comes though and demands that I get in formation. I’m a card carrying member of the BeyHive so I did just that. Beyoncé’s new Song + Video “Formation” addresses everything from #BlackLivesMatter, Police Brutality, and Hurricane Katrina to Blu’s fro and Jay’s nose. Shot in New Orleans, Formation is directed by Melina Matsoukas and it styled by Marni Senofonte and Shiona Turini.
This instant hit had twitter a blaze.
I got to thinking if a curvy girl wanted to wear some of the fashion from the video what would be wear. Here’s a few looks I was able to come up with.
Beyoncé rock this $1,390 Gucci Silk Printed Shirt and $1,890 Pleated Skirt in the first scene of her latest banger “Formation”. A curvy girl can get a similar look in plus with this Alice & You dress from ASOS.
All vintage everything for the queen in her second look from formation except for the Wolford tights and jewelry from Fallon and Dylan Lex. This all black look can be achived in plus also. Hats being my go to accessory I was so here for Bey’s jumbo hat. I was able to locate a similar one at ASOS. Beyoncé’s vintage dress look and be achieved by pairing Garnerstyle’s “THE HORIZON” crop top from Rebdoll with an Adrianna Papell high low skirt from Nordstrom. A budget version of the jewelry can be found at Forever 21.
Beyoncé looks Easter Sunday ready in a vintage corset from Palace in LA, a Zimmermann’s Spring 2016 look, and Fallon jewelry. For the curvy fashionshnias I selected this less covered up version in plus by Lauren Conrad from Kohls.
Bey explains how she like her man as she kills the choreography in a burgundy bodysuit and a Chanel Pre-Fall necklace. A plus size cutie can come close in this plunge neckline midi dress from Rebolls and faux pearls from Walmart along with these pointelle tights from Lane Bryant.
In an homage to Gucci, Beyoncé and her formation dancers wear a series of Gucci inspired bodysuits, featuring a GG pattern and Web details. Sorry ladies nothing currently close to this look. I’ll update when I found something.
Beyoncé is giving me so much style inspiration in “Formation”. She has me even more excited for Super Bowl 50’s half-time. Will you be watching the half-time show? I’ll be live tweeting all the performances action so be sure to follow me on twitter @fatgirl_fashion
