Hopsmith Chicago is part of Onion Hospitality group. After 9 years the location closed its doors from January 23rd to March 7th. They are reopening just in time for St. Patty’s Day and MARCH MADNESS. While closed Hopsmith Chicago got a makeover. The restaurant said the renovation was done to enhance the overall dining experience for patrons, creating a modern and welcoming atmosphere with updates to the interior and exterior design. Above all, I must agree the updates has made the eatery very instagrammable.
Named after the Hopsmiths, who were considered underground beer experts during prohibition the location says they’re LGBTQ+ and transgender friendly and a safe space. The American fare style bar has revamped the menu for the Gold Coast, near North Side location.
What did I taste at Hopsmith Chicago?
The Hopsmith Chicago | Things To Do In Chicago post was not done in collaboration the restaurant. The tasting was part of the media preview however, all opinions are my own.
Fried Chicken Sliders
– 10 out of 10 would recommend. The sliders with the Nashville hot ranch were very tasty. Ask for extra sauce it’s so good. Onion strings come on the side. Add them to your slider for an extra crunch.
