TELFAR is a unisex line Est. in 2005 wuth the motto ” It’s not for you — it’s for everyone.”  The Telfar Shopping Bag is made of vegan leather, branded with the signature “T” Telfar logo.  This has been called an “it-bag” and “the decade’s most important accessory”.

Telfar is the brainchild of Telfar Clemens.  He’s a Liberian-American fashion designer and winner of the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, the CFDA American Accessories 2019, and the CFDA American Accessories 2020. 

In November 2020, Oprah Winfrey picked the Telfar Bag as one of her ‘Favorite Things.  The bag has sold out within minutes of every restock, with demand crashing the shop site. Telfar’s team was initially concerned that bots were buying the bags to resell them at a higher price, but concluded that the bot issue was overstated—the issue was real demand.

• TELFAR Wallets Are 100% Leather

  Despite historically making their bags out of vegan leather the wallets will be 100% genuine leather.

• Color Options

  Beyond the standard color black.  The Telfar wallet will include chocolate, tan, cream, dark olive, greenscreen, double mint, pool blue, painter’s tape, navy, oxblood, azalea, bubblegum, red, orange, highlighter yellow, and silver..

• Wallet details

  The wallet comes branded with the “T” embossing on the front. Inside are six card slots and a large cash and coin pouch, while closing the round wallet is a chunky chrome-silver-effect zip.

  The look of the wallet is similar to the bag. That is to say: the simple, graphic T logo embossing takes up the real estate on both sides of the exterior. The inside is accessible via zipper for added security. Inside, the wallet folds out to six card slots, a large cash pocket, and a coin pouch.

  The wallets will go for $144 each.  They’ll be made available for purchase on January 23 at 12 PM EST at TELFAR.net.
