Good American On The Collaboration
Zara approached Good American about this project, which has been about a year in the making, according to Grede. Emma Grede is the co-founder of Good American. “I’ve always admired Zara for being a pioneer in bringing trend-forward fashion to a global audience. So partnering with the brand was a no-brainer for us,” she says. “This partnership reflects both our commitments and furthers our mission to make the fashion industry more inclusive. And working with Zara has been such a huge milestone for Good American… Our focus has always been inclusivity in everything we do — across sizing and how we design, in campaigns and e-commerce shoots; it’s ingrained into our brand DNA. And Zara has reimagined the fashion industry by making trend-setting fashion widely accessible, so we’re thrilled that we were able to fuse our respective expertises for this collection.”

This Zara collaboration marks Good American first true product partnership with another brand.
Zara On The Collaboration
It’s worth noting that this collaboration does break major boundaries for Zara when it comes to size inclusivity. Fans of Zara have been asking for extended sizing for years, as the vast majority of items sold at the retailer are offered in S-L, while jeans only extend up to size 14.
This is a supreme opportunity for the plus-size community. Almost 70% of American women wear a size 14 or larger and for Zara only to carry up to a size 14 in jeans is mindblowing.
Zara is finally expanding their denim offerings up to a size 30! This is a significant expansion for the Spanish retailer. Zara hasn’t said if they have plans to make all their jeans available in these extended sizes. A girl can dream!! They did say there’s a five-year dedication plan to perfecting designs for a spectrum of body types.
Zara carrying plus-size denim. 10 out of 10 a win!
