Law Roach Joins ASOS as First Stylist in Residence
As Seen on Screen, or ASOS, a popular online fashion retailer, has just added one more person to its employee roll: Law Roach. ASOS comes from the idea that shoppers could buy clothes and accessories inspired by or copied from outfits worn by celebrities in movies and on television. The world’s only Image Architect, Law Roach is known for placing inspiring looks for Hollywood “It” girls, and now he’ll be styling those inspired copies for ASOS.
Founded in 2000, ASOS brings fashion lovers around the globe through its own unique brands like ASOS DESIGN, ARRANGE, COLLUSION, Topshop, and Topman, styled with local and global partner brands. Offering brands in more than 30 sizes.

What does a Stylist in Residence do?Â
With ASOS announcing Law Roach as its first-ever Stylist in Residence starting the fall 2026 season, we’re all asking, “What does a Stylist in Residence do?” We’re told he’ll work closely with ASOS to help shape its fashion point of view through styling. ASOS site visitors will see Luxury Law’s influence throughout ASOS, from styling some campaigns to offering insight into how to wear key pieces. Think of maximalist dressing and statement tailoring to elevated layering.

ASOS will also be relaunching its ASOS Magazine, which will live on Substack as a quarterly digital publication with limited print editions. The Stylist in Residence is set to style six of its covers. We should anticipate those covers to be curated shoppable edits. Personally, I’m excited to see fabulous pieces I may have missed on a site that currently houses roughly 85,000 items. In addition to Law, new to the ASOS team will be global makeup artist Pat McGrath as guest beauty curator, and fashion commentator Elias Medini.

Law’s Eye For Elevated Luxury
Law Roach, a Chicago native, has been collecting firsts like Thanos collected Infinity Stones. He’s the First Black stylist on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter’s Stylist & Stars issue. The First Black person named Top/Most Powerful Stylist of the Year by The Hollywood Reporter. Also the First recipient of the CFDA’s Inaugural Stylist Award. All before the tender age of 44. Then he shook up the fashion world and retired in March of 2023 by tweet. The fashion Gods saw fit to make his retirement short-lived.

Law Roach is known for his encyclopedic-level knowledge of fashion history. As well as being recognised for strong image-making and storytelling. He’s recognised as a generational gift to style. He’s transformed what the role of a stylist should do and be for their clients. He keeps gagging the fashion girlies by pulling archival dresses from lenderay houses to grabbing up couture gowns right off the runway the day they walk. Or placing Zendaya in a simple vintage Spider-Man T-Shirt that shook up the internet so much the brand ended up rereleasing it. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for ASOS.
