I would like to begin this post by thanking plus-size Eloquii for extending an invitation to the dinner they hosted in Chicago. The Chicago event took place at a private event space in the West Loop. The seated dinner centered around Eloquii’s long-time muse, Rochelle Johnson, also known as iambeauticurve. She shared about her journey with the brand.
Over the course of the dinner, the Eloquii team opened the table for a guided conversation, asking the guests to share their own stories and experiences with the brand and our own fashion journey.

Eloquii Chicago | Dinner Menu
The Eloquii dinner at Soho House Chicago felt like stepping into a warm, candle-lit hug. Long tables, shared plates, and rich laughter made it feel like family. The noise of the world was left at the door. The menu was top tier. For starters, I had the creamy eggplant dip with pita bread. Followed by the little gem Caesar salad with bread crumbs & parmesan. My main course was the grilled salmon sauced with lemon aioli and paired with spinach. For dessert, I enjoyed a slice of warm apple pie. Everything came out like clockwork, begging to be passed, savored, and low-key fought over. Oh my cocktails? I asked the private bartender to make me something sweet. Don’t be mad at me, but I forgot the name. It was a boozy perfection with a side of sass. The vibe? Grown, chic, and effortlessly chic. Think curated fabulousness. Everyone was dressed like they didn’t try (but did). It all gave elevated style.

Eloquii Chicago Dinner | Plus-Size Fashion Journey Talk
After we dined, the talk got real. We were asked to keep our cameras down so that we could all speak openly and honestly. I won’t break trust and say what was said. What I will say is it wasn’t just a love fest. Many spoke truth to power, and I’m glad for that. After reconnecting with the Eloquii team, I’m pushing for an all-suit collection with availability up to size 32.
