Chicago Restaurant Week 2023 | #CRW23
First let’s celebrate the return of Chicago Restaurant Week. #CRW23 starts Friday,Jan. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023. Diners can reserve tables and view menus online beginning today for multi-course meals all over the Chicagoland.
The highly anticipated event will feature more than 335 participants representing 34 distinct Chicago neighborhoods, including 37 suburban restaurants. Of the participants, 55 are women, minority and/or Black-owned enterprises. Proving the Chicago food scene is as diverse as the people of Chicago.
Chicago Restaurant Week offers visitors and local foodies a meaningful opportunity to experience some of the area’s most sought-after restaurants. For 17 consecutive, dining-packed days, participating dining establishments will showcase specially curated prix fixe menus with prices set at $25 for brunch or lunch, and $42 and/or $59 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity).
First Bites Bash
Since Chicago beats to it’s own drum Chicago’s Restaurant Week is not going to be just 7 days but being held over 17 days. Chicago Restaurant Week will be kicked off on January 19th with the First Bites Bash being held at Field Museum. The First Bites Bash will be hosted by Darnell Reed is the chef and owner of luella’s southern kitchen.
Additionally, this year’s First Bites Bash will benefit two amazing organizations. Kitchen Possible strives to build empowered mindsets through cooking classes for children in underserved communities. And the James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial support for Chicago-based students pursuing a culinary career path..
Altogether, the more two weeks is sure to be a foodie’s dream. I’ve already made a few reservations. I’m excited to review a some new restaurants. I’ve chosen restaurants I’ve never visited and I encourage you to also. Chicago Restaurant Week will have many restaurants that are 4 or 5 stars participating. I’ve included a link to the full list here. Please look over the many locations and their special menus before making your reservations during Chicago Restaurant Week.
Are reservations required?
Reservations are not required but are highly recommended. There is no guarantee that walk-in guests will be accommodated, so please call ahead or book your reservation online at eatitupchicago.com.
