We all have spent the bulk of the past year inside, making matching sweatsuits fashion.  Along with diving deep into the air fryer recipe rabbit hole.  Cancer was the last thing on my mind. But, now that it has entered my life things for me have truly changed forever.

The Battle

In early November I went to the emergency room because of bleeding.  I had passed out because of loss of blood.  I thought it was due to a going menstrual cycle.  The emergency room doctor quickly told me he believed I had a cancer tumor and it needs to be removed quickly.
I was given multiple blood transfusions because I had lost so much blood and the bleeding wouldn’t stop.  After my blood level was stabilized I was transferred to a different hospital that was better equipped to handle my condition.  At this point, reality had not sat in for me.
After a week at the other hospital, I had surgery to remove the tumor that had taken over my uterus and that had partially broken.  I had a full hysterectomy.  It really was a tough time.  Overall I was in the hospital for a little over a month.  Because of covid, I wasn’t allowed to have any visitors.  I felt all alone.

Bet On Toya

After being released from the hospital I was bed-bound because of some other issues I had while in-patient.  I was very dependent on my mother and sister for care.  Depression was real.  Because of the trauma, I was diagnosed with diabetes.  My life started to feel like it was not my own.

With every test comes a testimony.  With God’s grace and mercy, I made it through.  My family and friends poured love all over me.  Even when I pushed them away they stood by me.  When I felt low they were there reminding me I wasn’t.
Fast forward 5 months later your girl is back!  I want to thank everyone who reached out with prayers, well wishes, and love offerings.  It all meant so much.  I truly didn’t know I was so loved.  I’m humbled by it all.
Well, that’s why I was missing if you didn’t know.  I’m back with new content and ready for all the blessings that are on the way.  And FUCK CANCER!
