5 WAYS TO GET READY FOR THE NEW YEAR
In this blog post, I’m sharing 5 ways to get ready for the new year.
.
What better way to have a great year than to start with a plan. I recently purchased my 2020 planner and I’m so inspired. I purchased two planner/calendars from Target. Target did a collaboration with Create & Cultivate a online platform & conference for women. They created some super cute stationary products. I got myself a purse size calendar along with a desk size calendar and a journal/notebook. You can click here to see the complete Create & Cultivate 2020 line. I took all my inspiration and created 5 ways to prepare for the new year. Keep reading for my 5 easy to complete plans for preparing for 2020.
Sidenote: There are a few different Create & Cultivate designs and all of them are going fast.
.
1. Create goals!
Every year everyone makes new year revolutions. Many we break within the first week. We all want to lose weight, get marry, travel more. All of those are great but are hard to keep when the goals aren’t realistic. I like to create small goals. Small goals are easier to achieve and I feel great when they have been completed. Finishing 10 small goals feels way better than 1 big one. One of my goals is to move more. I’m not going to say workout but be more active.
2. Plan for events you want to attend now!
Did you have FOMO (Fever Of Missing Out)? Did you see everyone going places and doing thing while you sat at home? Were you liking pictures on Instagram and thinking I’m going next year?! Well this is a great time to write down on the events you wish you attended last year. Writing them down now so they don’t sneak up on you in 2020. I have a few events I attend regularly like Lifestyled Honors, TCFStyle Expo and theCurvycon. But others like the Culturecon and Oprah’s 2020 vision tour are two I couldn’t miss. Write down a few you want to attend. Look when they are held. Look into the cost for the event. Do you need to travel or a room? Going solo or with friends? No is the time to get your budget in order.

3. Focus on me time.
In 2020 we’re going to hear everybody talking about 2020 and having clear vision. Self care is the best care! Take time and learn what makes you happy. When you learn what that is do that a little more. Carve out time to make yourself happy. Self care isn’t all about bubble bathrooms and candles. It could be taking 30 mins to yourself and reading a book. I like to put on my headphone and turn up the volume. For a good 15 mins I dance in my room, It’s such a stress reliever. My endorphins are up and my mind is clear.
4. Save save save.
I’m not the best at saving so I’m not going to tell you to set side $100 per check. But saving $10 dollars can be done. So when that surprise concert comes to town those weeks of saved $10 will insure you can get that hot little ticket. If you can save a $100 or more do that. For us saving newbies we have to do what we can do within out budget.
.
5. Make an attainable vision board.
Make a small vision for yourself. Focus it on things you can yourself getting and doing. We all want the tall dark and handsome man picture on our vision board. So go a head a put Idris Elba picture on your board but also focus on other things. Have you been eyeing a new position at work? Put that on there. Have you wanted a new dress? Add that. Do you want to take a trip somewhere? Add that. Focus on things you can do realistically to make them the spotlight of your vision board.
…and remember it take 21 days to create a habit. Starting now will have us ready when 2020 makes it here.
