Kevin Hart and Ice Cube lead the returning lineup of Ride Along 2, the sequel to the blockbuster action-comedy that gave us the year’s most popular comedy duo.  Ben Barber (Hart) graduates from the police academy and is now a full fledged Atlanta P.D. cop, and wants to make it as a detective. James (Ice Cube), Ben’s soon to be brother-in-law, is still annoyed by his tactics. Before Ben is able to marry James’s sister, Angela (Sumpter), their boss Lt. Brooks (McGill) assigns them to a case in Miami, where they will be working with the Miami Police Department in order to bring down a powerful drug lord named Antonio Pope (Bratt). Â
Ice Cube and Kevin Hart are joined in the film by Ride Along co-stars Bruce McGill and Tika Sumpter, as well as those new to the series, including Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt and Olivia Munn.  With the behind-the-scenes team also returning for the next chapter are director Tim Story, as well as Cube’s fellow producers —Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner.
