Black Women Are Not Responsible

Black women are not responsible for teaching the world anything!

We as Black women are not responsible for teaching the world how to love us.  Black women are not responsible for teaching the world how to treat us.  Black women are not responsible for teaching the world how to respect us.

The same way Black people are not responsible for treating White people Black Lives Matter.

Love

We as Black women are not responsible for teaching the world how to love us.
It’s mentally draining being a Black woman.  Between having to codeswitch daily to having our bodies disrespected.  We tried.  Black women are on the front line for the fight of Black Live Matters.  Black women are on the front line for getting out the vote.  We are your lover and your secretary now we have to be teachers of love to.

Loving Black women doesn’t require you to have a black daugther.

Treatment

We as Black women are not responsible for teaching the world how to treat us.

It’s as old as time.  Treat others how you want to be treated.  It’s that simple.  Treat Black women as you would treat yourself.

Breonna Taylor

It’s been a little over 3 months since this Black woman was murdered.  Her life mattered.  The Justice for Breonna Taylor Act.  An act which would prohibit federal law enforcement from carrying out a warrant “until after the officer provides notice of his or her authority and purpose.” It would also apply to state and local law enforcement that receive funding from the Justice Department.  The police officers that killed her are free and are still being paid.

Respect

We as Black women are not responsible for teaching the world how to respect us.

J Cole just released ” Snow On Tha Bluff”.  Within the song, he says “But damn, why I feel faker than Snow on Tha Bluff? Well maybe ’cause deep down I know I ain’t doing enough.”  To that, I say Baby boy respect is just the minimum.
